All proceeds will go to the Friends of the Graveyard of the
Atlantic Museum to defray any costs of Flags Over Hatteras
activities and the remaining or all will go towards the "
Help Us Save the USS Monticello Ensign" Civil War flag
restoration project.
The Flags
Over Hatteras Committee has scheduled an “Ole' Time Civil
War Auction" on April 28 th, 2012 from 5:00 - 6:30 P.M. at the
Hatteras Village Civic Center in Hatteras.
Any funds raised by this event will be
applied to defray costs of Flags Over Hatteras activities.
Any monies exceeding those costs will go entirely towards a
Civil War restoration project/projects and
'Friends Of The Graveyard Of The Atlantic Museum.

Terms and Conditions of the Ole’ Time Civil
War Auction:

Highest
bidder shall be buyer. If any dispute arises, the
Auctioneer shall have absolute discretion to settle
dispute. ALL SALES FINAL, NO REFUNDS.

A bidder
is deemed to have accepted an item when making a bid. No
bidder may retract their bid.

By
bidding on any item, the bidder shows acceptance of the
terms of the auction.

Lots
shall be paid for in full by cash, good check,
MasterCard, VISA, and Discover, and taken away at
Buyer's risk and expense. Only a 3% Buyer's Premium will
be charged for this auction.

All
bidders, regardless of method or location, are subject
to North Carolina State Sales Tax unless bidder has a
State Sales Tax Exemption Certificate and has supplied a
copy to Humphries Auctioneering.

Estimated Value: Estimated prices are only a guide to
value. All items open at 50% of the low estimated value.

The
Auctioneer may divide or combine any two or more lots or
withdraw any lot at any time prior to the time of sale
of such lot.

Ownership of title passes upon the fall of the
Auctioneer's gavel, and although the winning bidder may
not remove the property until such property is paid for,
thereafter the property is at risk of the buyer and
neither the seller, nor the auctioneer shall be
responsible for loss or damage.

Certain
items in the sale are being offered subject to reserve
which is the confidential minimum price below which the
lot will not be sold.

Photography: Some illustrations have size modifications
to aid in layout. We attempt to accurately reflect the
item and its condition with each photo.

Items
must be picked up and removed the day of sale.

This is
a privately owned and operated auction. We reserve the
right to refuse admittance to any person(s). No transfer
will be recognized from one buyer to another.

Purchasers are responsible for removal of their
purchases and any and all damages incurred during
removal of purchases. The purchaser/bidder hereby
indemnifies the auctioneer and the vendor against any
and all damages arising from the dismantling and removal
of any lots.

announcements made the day of auction take precedence
over any previous announcements or advertisements.
